Computer Virus

Virus is software which enters into the computer and attacks other programs are soft ware with a view to damage them. A computer is a program which is written intentionally by some person with a view to damage the data among program and peripherals. As a result the computer behaves in a strange way.

Characteristics of Virus:-

When a virus is infected to a computer one or more of the following features may exist.

®Computer may not boot
® A program may not work properly or take a time to load.
® The disc space, files sizes may be effected
® New massage maybe displayed on the screen.
® File name may be displayed on the screen
® File name may have new character
® The virus may spread from one computer to another computer through network.

Virus Protection:-

Protection to prevent virus:

® Do not use illegal or pirated software
® Do not connect your system with an effected service in LAN
® Do not download program unless you confirmed that they are reliable web sites.
® Do not open email attachment from unknown senders.

The antivirus searches the system for any virus. There are many famous antivirus available in the market.
Eg: Norton PC, Avesta  etc.

It is always advisable to install an effective anti virus software. One anti virus software cannot catch all viruses. So it is better to use two or more latest anti-virus software.
