How to Fill Series in MS Excel?

The range of cells in a row or column in which you list to fill up the data with the consecutive and incremental numbers such as 1,2,3….. or the month names such as January, February, March ……… (Or) Sunday, Monday, ……..etc.…. whatever you needed is mentioned with the common difference between the two consecutive data items that must be common through the series can be filled in excel cells.

1. Type 1,2 in different cells for the column headings in which you wish to fill up the consecutive numbers.

2. Choose services option from the fill command which is available in edit menu.

3. Now click ok button to continue.

4. Click on the radio button to fill up the data.

5. Through auto fill command, if you type the month names such as January, February in two different cells and specifying the range so that it automatically fill up the month names.


6. The stop value need not be specified since the length of range is specified, that would automatically determined.
