1. What is Simple Harmonic Motion. Write
its physical characteristics.
2. Write as short note on logarithmic
decrement.
3. Write transverse laws of vibrating
strings.
4. Derive expression for frequency of
vibration bar free at both ends.
5. Write any five applications of
ultrasonic waves.
6. A spring is stretched by mass of 1kg.
Its extension is 10cm.Calculate force constant.
7. A flexible string of length 1m and
mass 1gm is stretched to tension T. The string is found to vibrate in three
segments at frequency of 512Hz. Calculate the tension in string.
8. A Piezo electric crystal with vibrating
length 3x10-3 m. has density 3.5x103 kg/m3 . It its made of a material of
young’s modulus 8x1010 N/m2 .What is its fundamental frequency.
